Kate Averill – Founder, Director
Kate Averill is the Founder and Director of EvalStars. She has over 20 years’ experience in management, strategic planning and evaluation and has worked extensively in the public and private sectors in New Zealand and internationally.
Kate has proven expertise in strategy development, and designing monitoring and evaluation systems. These systems include outcomes frameworks, logic models, and performance indicators. She is skilful in identifying existing and additional data sources and setting up ongoing monitoring and reporting of strategy, policy, and programmes. Kate is currently completing her PhD, focusing on the principles underpinning results frameworks. She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of these frameworks for programmes in the development sector in New Zealand and internationally.

- Master’s in Business Administration (Henley Management College)
- Bachelor of Science (Otago University) majoring in Geography
- Post-Graduate Diploma of Teaching (New Zealand)
Kate presents at international conferences and advises on projects in New Zealand and internationally. From June 2010, until 2012, Kate was on the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association (ANZEA) Board.
Kate is responsible for strategic and technical leadership, specialist design and facilitation of complex integrated systems, and quality assurance.
