Ako Aotearoa and EvalStars, with endorsement from NZQA, offer professional development workshops and specialised support to help tertiary organisations strengthen their evaluative self-assessment and performance processes to enhance overall quality of provision.
“Better practice, better outcomes, better value through evaluative self-assessment”
Evaluative self-assessment workshops, co-developed with Ako Aotearoa, have been delivered to more than 200 managers and practitioners around New Zealand.
Participant feedback indicates that the content, models shared, and practical exercises undertaken throughout the sessions are of high value. They have proven very helpful to practitioners and managers alike, as they explore what evaluative self-assessment may look like within their own departments/organisations, and how they can employ the models and tools to make their own system work more effectively.
The workshop builds from the self-assessment case studies that were co-developed by New Zealand Qualifications Authority and Ako Aotearoa. The series of five case studies offer examples of effective practice in a variety of tertiary settings; illustrating self-assessment that has been done well and has led to good outcomes.
“we all really enjoyed the workshop. Rest assured that if we are going to use external consultants for our EER process you’ll be first on the list.”
“best/most valuable workshop that I’ve attended for many years”
“a great facilitator- encouraging supportive- safe learning environment for what can be a scary topic”
“[It’s great to have the] opportunity to build our own models and apply to our own context”.
“[the] linking of the model, measures and reports….[helped to]…draw all the bits and pieces together.”
