Ace Aotearoa – Development of an Outcomes Model, 2015 – 2016
We worked with Ace Aotearoa – the peak representative body of Adult and Community Education in New Zealand – to develop an outcomes model for the ACE sector. The intent was to provide a tool that enables ACE Aotearoa and its members to clearly articulate and communicate the outcomes the sector is contributing to and a tool that ACE Aotearoa members can use as a basis for developing their own outcomes model, to demonstrate the contribution they are making (their ‘line of sight’) to the sector. The outcomes model was developed with supporting documentation for the sector to use as reference material, and included a selection of other supporting tools. The model and ‘manual’ was socialised with the sector via five workshops and accepted by the ACE Aotearoa board as an ongoing tool. Click here to go to the Ace Quality Assurance page on the website. English Language Partners (ELP) – Developing an integrated evaluative self-assessment system, 2014 – 2015
We supported English Language Partners (ELP), a not-for-profit organisation providing English Language services to refugees and migrants, to develop an integrated evaluative self-assessment system that could be applied across 23 centres nationwide. We worked closely with the Chief Executive and an internal working group, as well as with ELP’s regional managers, the Board, their Ethnic Advisory Board, and external stakeholders to develop a meaningful and fit-for-purpose approach that will work for their organisation. We also completed a detailed independent ‘post-amalgamation’ baseline report for the organisation to capture the ‘state’ of the organisation following a national amalgamation. New Zealand Recreation Association (NZRA) – Strategic Plan 2015-2020, 2015 – 2016
We worked collaboratively with NZRA to develop a Summary Strategic Plan and a roadmap for more meaningful outcomes from their work. The work was to provide NZRA a clear vision of what the industry was working towards, supported by clear operational plan that provided ‘line of sight’ and a supporting measurement framework that could effectively and robustly track NZRA’s progress towards its objectives.
Eastern and Central Community Trust, 2015
We worked with the Eastern and Central Community Trust (ECCT) to develop an outcomes monitoring framework to enable them to report at strategic level – what difference ECCT philanthropic activities make overall, in relation to individual organisations or clusters of organisations. The team also supported them to build their organisational capability in outcomes monitoring and reporting as a longer-term sustainable way of promoting quality and value in terms of ECCT donations and other activities.
The Department of National Planning and Monitoring, Papua New Guinea, 2014
We worked with the Ministry of National Planning and Monitoring in Papua New Guinea on a whole-of-country project to develop the Bridging Mid Term Development Plan 2015-2018. The projects aim was to bridge the Medium-term development plan adopted in 2010 with the Development Strategic Plan 2030 and the Vision 2050. The team supported the collection of data from over 38 government sectors to establish an accurate snapshot of where the country was. The data informed the development of a Bridging Plan, based on reliable data and that set realistic and achievable targets for the 38 sectors. The plan demonstrated Minister Abel’s determination to make a paradigm shift towards a greener and more sustainable path to development in PNG while still making progress towards the Human Development Indicators as established by the United Nations.
The team and officers in the Department of National Planning and Monitoring used the ELM Platform to enter data, store and share policy documents, store interview data, miscellaneous articles and sources of information and outcomes models.
